FIRE
The Fire Division's members respond to structure fires, wildland fires, hazardous materials spills, automobile accidents and other types of emergency incidents. They are trained in fire suppression, technical rescue and motor vehicle extrication techniques.
Fire Division members also provide fire inspection services, plan reviews and input on safe property development, hazardous fuels mitigation and reduction projects to prevent wildfires, and a comprehensive community Fire Prevention Program.
SEARCH & RESCUE
Because the Red Lodge area draws day-hikers, backpackers, climbers, skiers, hunters and many other out-door enthusiasts. Our search and rescue team has to have a broad skill-set and be ready for any type of weather. Team members are trained in back country navigation, wilderness first aid, technical high & low-angle rope rescues, helicopter evacuations and many other skills needed to assist in rescue operations.
EMS
Red Lodge EMS provides critical care level prehospital emergency medicine for the Red Lodge-Roberts Ambulance district. The EMS service also performs ground transfers from the local critical care access hospital to higher levels of care in Billings and other cities. EMS members range from EMR level care to critical care paramedics and respond to 911 calls, well checks and law enforcement assistance.
