FIRE PREVENTION

The Fire Prevention Program (FPP) works to develop and implement methods to reduce the likelihood of loss of life and or property due to fire. In doing so, comprehensive plans are maintained to sustain consistent inspections of commercial property, wildland / urban interface (WUI) areas, and residential and commercial real estate developments. Additionally, the FPP develops and maintains public education, hazard assessment, fuel mitigation, and fire safe community development programs.

We work to accomplish these goals in several ways:

  • Fire Inspections and Code Enforcement

  • Public Education

  • New Construction Review

  • Wildland Urban Interface Area Management

  • Household Safety Information

  • Hazardous Fuels Reduction Programs
