2017 Red Lodge Fire Rescue EMT Training Program:

Fall / Winter 2017

Application Dead Line - September 1st, 2017

Classes start September 20th, 2017

Class Format:

This EMT class will have two distinct portions, on-line lectures and practical sessions. Unlike previous classes, students in this class will be using an on-line EMT class format on their own time where ever they have the ability to access the internet. We will be using the Jones and Bartlett Emergency Care and Transport of the Sick and Injured (10th editions) Premier package. This package is a complete online solution offering anytime, anywhere EMT training. The package provides students with a hard copy of the book as well as an online version of the test, an eWorkbook, interactive course lectures, and test prep for the registry exam. The second portion of this class is the weekly "study group". This study group will meet every Wednesday. This group is used to answer questions students have about the material, as well as provide time for hands-on skills. Students will also be required to complete the workbook that accompanies the textbook.

Class Locations:

Red Lodge Fire Rescue Station #1

801 N. Broadway

Red Lodge, Montana 59068

All Training rooms/conference rooms within the station can accommodate the number of students in the class, and the station has any training aids necessary for the conduction of the class, including computers, projectors, whiteboards, copier/printer, etc.

Course Policies:

The cost of the class is $500.00, which is to be paid in full or in installations at the start of the class.

The $500.00 is non-refundable after the first day of class.

Student records will be maintained in the office, as well as a lock instructor website to ensure that records remain secure against unauthorized viewing.

Student Expectations:

The successful completion of the EMT course requires a great deal of self-discipline. Students are expected to complete their course work in a timely manner and come to class prepared for discussion. It is also expected that they be courteous of other students and come to class on time @ 1700.

The student will also be required to take a 12 hour call call shift every week until the conclusion of class.

Applications can be downloaded and submitted in person, email, or fax.
